There is so much to love about the JW Marriott Marco Island Resort. From the various pools, shopping, dining, and more…this resort truly has it all.

1. Spectacular Accommodations

It’s no secret, when we vacation we love having spacious rooms. We’re always going to opt for a suite or 1-2 bedroom villa over a standard room, so that our daughter can have a separate sleeping area.

We had the pleasure of staying in the rooftop terrace suite at the JW Marriott Marco Island and it was by far such an incredible stay.

The terrace itself is one of the largest, most spacious balconies I’ve ever seen. My husband joked that we could have additional family members sleep in tents on the balcony.

One of my favorite highlights of the terrace suite, aside from the balcony, is the soaking tub. Nothing beats relaxing in a warm bath after a long day at the beach.

Even if you don’t book a suite, I think it’s great that every room has a balcony. When you’re staying at the beach, you’ve got to have a balcony!

*Couples looking to stay at JW Marriott Marco Island can take advantage of the adult exclusive (21+) portion of the resort called Sirene. There you can enjoy an exclusive restaurant, pool, and more.

2. Unique Experiences

At the JW Marriott Marco Island, families can opt to book additional experiences directly with the resort. Aside from booking tee times or a day at the spa, families can book water sport activities. This includes a wave runner tour, eco-tour, and our favorite, sailing and shelling.

The sailing and shelling tour can host up to 6 people and lasts 2.5 hours. Children must be at least 5 years old to participate in this tour. Your caption will reach out to you the day before to notify you of a meeting point. Occasionally they are able to pick you up right on the shore of the resort. However, you’ll likely need to shuttle (provided by JW Marriott) over to the boat docks for departure.

On the tour, you’ll likely see wildlife like dolphins or manatees. The captain is great about pointing out different species of birds, other wildlife, and really tries their hardest to get a dolphin sighting. Guests are taken to a remote island where there are thousands upon thousands of gorgeous sea shells you can collect. I highly recommend wearing water shoes as the beach is covered in shells and it may be painful to walk on.

After a short time on the island, you’ll sail back to the boat docks and return to the resort.

3. Nightly Fire Dancer

As you enjoy beautiful Marco Island sunsets, you’ll also be invited to enjoy a lively show from a fire dancer. The performance pays tribute to the resort’s Balinese inspiration and is certainly a crowd pleaser.

We love this unique experience and feel that it is the perfect addition to a stay at the JW Marriott Marco Island. While the show itself is only a few minutes, it’s a great way to kick off your evening.

It’s also the perfect time to plan family sunset photos or search for seashells since temps are typically a little cooler at this time of day.

4. Multiple Dining Options

When looking at resorts, we love when a resort offers various dining options. While it’s great to leave the resort and explore the area, we equally love the ease of dining on property.

JW Marriott Marco Island offers 11 dining experiences throughout the property and golf course. With so many options, everyone in the family is sure to find something they love!

• Quinn’s on the Beach: Offers a variety of foods from tacos to burgers.

• 400 Pazzi’s: Pizza, paninis, salads, and more! This is sure to a family favorite!

Let’s face it, as parents it an be tiring to spend all day at the pool or beach. That’s why I love JW Marriott Marco Island and feel it’s the best resort in Marco Island! There are so many other great things for the family to enjoy around the resort.

For starters, the resort features a massive arcade and game room complete with bowling, mini-golf, and gastropub. It’s certainly a great way to cool off from the Florida heat.

If mom and dad need a break from the kids, children ages 5-10 can enroll in Tiki Tribe Discovery Day Camp offered from 10:00 am-3:00 pm for $100 per child. This day camp offers little ones the opportunity to make friends, create crafts, play games, and more. Lunch is provided, as well.

If you’re visiting the resort near a big holiday, families can also participate in the many free activities available during your stay. Families should receive a schedule of events at check-in. For instance, we stayed the weekend before Halloween, so there were fun crafts and even an opportunity for kids to dress up and receive candy.

Of course, we also love the miles of buttery soft sand and the family pool, which features a waterslide and waterfall. Eleanor would’ve spent every minute of our stay in the pool if we would’ve let her. But thankfully, there were plenty of other fun things to do around the property for us to enjoy!
